Why thank you. I do likes the avenger, but I still don't think I'll win. Mine is not too special.

Wow, Wolfe, that was amazing. How am I ever going to beat that? I have yet to win a writing contest, and this looks no different, so I'l just keep trying. I know you're going to win!

Re: THE LADY OR THE TIGER CONTEST (everyone wins a prize)
hope you like it:
Spoiler
There was once a tyrant king who was a semi barbarian. He enjoyed bloodshed. One of the town’s favorite things to do was to watch a man prove his innocence or die trying. There were two doors, exactly like each other, the only difference was that behind one there was a beautiful maiden, behind the other was a blood thirsty tiger.
A man fell in love with one of the king’s children. She was to be queen when her father passed. They happily stayed together for many months without anyone knowing. It wasn't long before he found out. He ordered the man prove his guilt with the tiger. He was cast into the pit as spectators looked on in sadness to lose such a fine man. The princess watched coldly from her chair beside the king. She knew that behind one door was another beautiful maiden. She had looked at her lover with longing in her eyes, the princess didn't like it. She looked to her lover, he at her, She flicked her hand to the right. The man walked to the door and opened it.....
to see golden stripes and shadow slashes blocking his path. Staring open mouthed, he stood frozen, paralyzed, not from fear of the tiger, but from the thought that his lover betrayed him.
Each man tried is allowed one weapon of choice, but his spear hung loosely in his hand. He hadn’t the will to fight when there was nothing left to fight for but the woman who chose to let him die. The tiger took no notice of this. It was not a man, it was not honor bound, and it was all too happy to attack a helpless opponent. The fierce beast lashed its tail only once, and leapt on the man, ivory claws tearing through the soft flesh beneath his tunic, spilling his entrails and near completely shattering his ribs.
But through it all the man did not scream, did not cry out, for he hadn’t the heart for that either. He just turned up his sad face to stare into the eyes of his lover. And as the tiger’s monstrous maw closed on the man’s skull, she stared back, eyes cold and unfeeling, content that no other woman should ever have him.
Now all in that land know of this man, and know of the cold woman, who succeeded her father as tyrant. She has kept the tiger trail alive, though the words of the men who face it trouble her greatly. Of course, all who face the tiger die, but as they die their words are carried on the wind. And those who face the tiger now sometimes say this tiger is a strange one. That it does not look upon them with bloodlust in its eyes, but with a sad, hopeless face.
