There she is. She's fairly large when she stretches her legs out a moves around, and her web is pretty big. I've seen the web before, but this is the first time I've seen her on it. If location helps, I'm in Hanover Pennsylvania, North America.

She's pretty fierce looking. The most I usually see are tiny little house spiders and the occasional wolf spider, and a few daddy long legs.

Ah, it's just an orbweaver, perfectly harmless. I'm not so familiar with spiders, so I don't know what species she might be. Don't worry about her.

I wasn't worried (I didn't want her to come into the house, though XD), but I am happy to know what she is ^^; Thanks for your help, Cass :t-hugs: She's a beauty, I'll be keeping an eye on her. I hope a bird doesn't get her, I'm sure she's keeping mosquitoes out of my house!

Man, I need more spiders at my house >_> Right now I only have one banana spider outside my house (I named him Voodoo) and it's the first I've seen in three years. The flies are getting so unbearable I'd give a few toes just to have them all gone.

I've decided to name her Mephala, after the Daedric Prince in The Elder Scrolls. One of Mephala's names is Webspinner, and I thought it was fitting for her - her web in the corner of the deck is large and beautiful. I was watching her feed earlier today. She's so beautiful.

That's not my spider, but it's what they look like. I'm not sure if that's their actual name, but it's what I've called them all my life
I like how their head looks like a skull :3 satifyingly creepy, in a way.

EDIT: they are called golden silk spiders.
