I am still fairly new here since 2022 ish, and experienced a lot of lagging and all that from goldmining, and I still experience it sometimes even this week.
I definitely suggest minigames like others has suggest that, and personally I would rather keep making gold off clicking eggs, but to daily limit is ideal, so the goldminers cannot continue all day to cause lag issues to the website, so theres daily limit to egg clicking as long as other ways to earn gold rather than clicking/posting.
I've been part of PonyIsland and GaiaOnline for years, and the ways of earning gold are daily log ins, daily reward if you log in daily you earn gold, and maybe some special prizes/eggs for log x of days... like 20 days, 30/31 days you get egg, or some sort, which will encourage people log in to earn that as well.
Mini games as in jigsaw of the art that were created on this site, art contests, fishing in the Magi Stream itself to fish up gold or items, or even eggs.
Maybe consider drop limit of eggs if limit to amount of clicks per day for us who spend clicking away so we can collect more?
Just ideas to throw out there.
Looking forward to see all of the improvements when you guys get around to it.
This would be ideal, I think, especially if getting gold from adults is dropped.
Beware of dragons for you are small & tasty.I Pledge Allegiance to the Lamb Love maybe love, but there's no excuse for the ignorance. RIP HiddenMystic 2024, you will be missed.

So i'm returning after a longer hiatus, if adult creatures no longer give gold what are some ways to earn gold on the site now?
If you finish the "attune to an element" quest (found in the Keep in the world map) clicking eggs/hatchlings associated with your chosen element gives more gold. Also, if you do not already have it, the alicanto heart item you can buy in the artificer shop (has to be unlocked with another quest which starts in Synara city) raises the amount of gold gained from clicking live eggs to 5. The limit of gold gained from posting on the forums has also been raised.

Thank you so much for the info! I appreciate it a lot.
If someone wanted their element strictly for gold making, which element would you say is the most commonly seen? I'm honestly curious. ...and broke gold wise, so I'm looking for anything I can do lol
Buying Phoenix Arkai, not sure what amount of gold to offer for them
Feel free to offer on creatures in my 'For Sale' tab.
I may be mistaken, but I think that:
1) The vast majority of creatures are neutral with no element.
2) The majority of those who do are donation, breeding, event, shop creatures.
The Alicanto Heart seems to be the better option than to specialize in an element is, because you get extra gold for every creature.
My join date says 2012, when I made an account I promptly forgot about until August 2023, so I'm really *gasp* a newbie.
I have no phobias or disliked critters. Feel free to click anything in my keep, except the "Quests" tab. I think you'll find plenty there without those 2 or 3.

Attuning to an element is not particularly hard and can be changed so it is not much of an either/or thing between it and the alicanto heart I would say. The element is listed in the bestiary so it can be filtered by. From a quick count I got (element - in stream - in shops)
water - 25 - 9
fire - 19 - 17
void - 29 - 14
life - 24 - 6
light - 14 - 12
earth - 8 - 10
air - 16 - 7
So probably void would be the most profitable by statistics alone.

Seconding this, I did a similar count of every creature on the site and void’s only competition by sheer volume of creatures is fire (Earth technically has more than void but almost 50% of that count is made up of just pygmy crystalwings/gemdragons which you really aren’t going to see that frequently)
Will try my best to return any clicks! Gender Swaps
Willing to purchase shopborn Water and Artificer shop creatures for you for shop price + 200g apiece, PM me if interested
My about me is still pretty accurate as far as wishlists go, but here is my wishlist of what individual creatures I’m currently prioritizing most/other specifics!

If goldmining was causing all the lag, what is causing it now? I've been dealing with the lag for several days now.
It was not causing all the lag, it was just one contributing factor. There´s also fun things like webcrawlers and ai bots accessing the site and who knows what else going on. Plus it cannot be ruled out that some people still do goldmine, having missed that adults no longer give gold.
