[Paradoxic]

We said it’s eternal – we’d never part,
It was just words, yet I gave you my heart.

Now I’m hiding from echoes of the past,
Running, running, not knowing when’s my last.

You said you’d stay, even vowed that you would,
Now you’ve disappeared like I guessed you’d do.

I curl up and cry – for you, not for me,
What you’ve become now, I wish you could see.

Face filled with lies and claws behind your back,
Embracing me while launching your attack.

They say look forward, and hold your head high,
And thus I did, letting my tears run dry.

So whenever you see a shining star,
Remember it's me, smiling from afar.
