Good time of the day everyone! Ziraafa News is here again! With two and a half weeks still left on the competition it's time to talk strategy.

Dun dun duu.

But wait! Let's first take a look at our teams and how they are doing!

Strongly holding onto the fifth place are the stalkers of the mist, whispering whiskers of the chilly jungle mornings, the team Mist Stalker!
Team Mist Stalker currently has 791 points with 721 eligible members and 15 generations!
52 of their 59 person team have participated in the breeding and only three of those are yet to get their first successful breeding. The top three breeders of the team, Szarwas, Stormpaws, and Megan have bred 80, 60, and 54 members respectively.

Fighting to keep their fourth spot from being mistified are the lizarding butts of hot hotness, the team Anaugi!
Team Anaugi currently has 926 points with 831 eligible members and 20 generations! They lead team Mist Stalker by 135 points.
54 of their 58 person team have participated in the breeding. Four of those are yet to get their first successful breeding. The top three breeders of the team, schtefy, yummyquik, and slicing have bred 125, 74, and 62 members respectively.

Skipping the fences to stay on the third spot are the green masses in their knit ewening dresses, the team Ariessa!
Team Ariessa currently has 1290 points with 1155 eligible members and 28 generations! They lead team Anaugi by 364 points.
51 of their 58 person team have participated in the breeding. Only two of those are yet to get their first successful breeding. The top three breeders of the team, Thyme, MistyoC, and Yrenne have bred 97, 85, and 74 members respectively.

Bubbling under, on the second place are those who aren't horsing around, the team Hippocampus!
Team Hippocampus currently has 1811 points with 1596 eligible members and 44 generations! They lead team Ariessa by 521 points.
51 of their 59 person team have participated in the breeding. Just one of those is yet to get their first successful breeding. The top three breeders of the team, ragdoll, NelwNoll, and shadowrose45 have bred 189, 160, and 139 members respectively.

Still tightly clinging their talons on the first place furiously flapping their wings to keep above the others are the team Puvia!
Team Puvia currently has 1920 points with 1625 eligible members and 60 generations! They lead team Hippocampus by 109 points.
50 of their 58 person team have participated in the breeding, and all of those have gotten at least one successful breeding. The top three breeders of the team, Taemin, Tyriagris, and Enchanteddil have bred 242, 192, and 166 members respectively.

So, what was that talk about strategy? Are there going to be big revelations as to just how they are doing it? Yes? No? Possibly!

All teams have chosen to have clicking threads on their respective forum areas. Some also collect codes, both to post on other parts on the forums and to tweet and facebook with urls and shorteners, take into Yarolds and dump into hatcheries.

Some teams are focusing their efforts in trying to get as many donec hatchlings from outside markets as possible, whereas some are concentrating on breeding their own at any time their lineage creatures are on a cooldown.

A few teams have a dedicated generation grower: a person whose task it is to keep on breeding generations, as every time a new generation is added to the family, the team gains six points: 5 from the generation and 1 from the creature. The following members of that generation are worth only 1 point, so some teams have chosen to trying to maximise their points by trying to get 6 points per creature. Other team members help in hatching and growing especially those highest generation creatures and keep on sending their female donec hatchlings to the highest gen holder to help with the breeding cooldown.

Some other teams on the other hand aren't putting their eggs all in one basket and are instead filling up the lower generations in order to have more breeding stock and breeding possibilities for those higher gens, minimizing the potion usage this way.

Every team is crazily lending and giving out breeding partners to those who have a limited amount, and Master Belmos will no doubt bathe in his mountain of gold after several successful sales...

Some teams are talking about integrity: doing the right thing even when no-one's looking. To click or to not click an opposing teams eggs on the clicking threads. Most have agreed that yes, click them. We're all in this together after all. Wait, what? We're not? There's only going to be one winner? And that will be Ziraafa! Ahem.

Anyways! Team discussions are going on in the team forums with team Hippocampus being the chattiest with 3285 posts, Puvia coming in second with 2154 posts, Ariessa 1171, Mist Stalker 891 and Anaugi 574.

Puvias have the most topics, a total of 21. Hippocampus 19, Anaugi 11, Ariessa 9 and Mist Stalker 7.

A little less than two and a half weeks still to go! Go go go! :woo:

Thank you to our esteemed reporter of Ziraafa News for the cutting-edge information from the team headquarters. It was surely acquired under great risk for body and soul, infiltrating those closely guarded fortresses.
I would like to remind everyone again that participation is the best part of this competition, and will be rewarded. So even if your family member is unwilling to cooperate, don't give up and keep breeding. Effort will be rewarded, both for the team and individually, no matter where you end up when the time is over.

Happy breeding!

Wait, this was an question for some?
When you ask for clicks you need to return clicks. Pretty much an unspoken rule we have had for years now.
