Saw the new Jurassic World. It was fun. Needed more dinosaurs and gore, but I enjoyed it.

So half my company is being sold to another company. The other half is getting folded into a subsidiary of the old company. I'm not going with the new company I'm staying with the subsidiary. We still don't know what's going on completely with the subsidiary because they haven't told us anything. Needless to say the last week and a half have been stressful due to the lack of communication about what the heck is actually going on.

Considering my skill-set I'd like to think myself safe from staff reduction but I'm not taking it as a guarantee. I know I need to get my resume updated but my title at work doesn't even in compass a third of what I actually do and I don't know how to cover that. My mom is recommending that I start applying other places but I don't even know what sort of a job I would apply for.

My D&D group has officially become a complete disaster. Everyone's trying to kill each other and run away and I don't even have a clue what's going on, and I'm the DM. Maybe I shouldn't be improvving...

It's the dead of night, really dark outside, and then I hear what I swear sounds like a lawnmower drive right past my window?? First off, who in their right mind would mow a lawn this late, and second off, it seriously sounded like it was in my yard.
Logically I know that's not what happened. I dunno what anyone would have to gain by plowing a lawnmower through my yard in the pitch blackness. But man I feel a little weird about it lol

Logically I know that's not what happened. I dunno what anyone would have to gain by plowing a lawnmower through my yard in the pitch blackness. But man I feel a little weird about it lol

As for mowing your yard late at night I can't say anything, but to the time. Considering in TX right now, daytime temps are triple digits, plus the Saharan Dust blowing through rn, I'd rather mow the yard late at night, after dark just for the drop in temperature. Also, I'm Irish skinned, I turn into a boiled lobster within a few minutes of being out in the sun, so mowing at night makes even more sense for me.

Riding mower or walk behind? Because riding mowers you can drive around without using the blades.

Took the cat outside into the backyard so we could brush her down so that we didn't have to worry about fur getting everywhere (fur everywhere outside means we don't have to clean it up, and free nest material for the local birds).
So now there is orange fuzz everywhere outside

Fffff. Our neighbours used to have a husky and it probably looked like that when they were done with grooming her outside.
I wish I could do that with Tora (our other cat) but she hates the outdoors and would bolt right back to the front door the moment I take her outside. Bella at least I was able to put in a lawn chair and she just, sat there (for the most part) while I brushed her. Plus she can be bribed into staying relatively still with treats.

Another possibility is an ATV. Hard to say, though, if you didn't see anything.
