I am in the clear now, but I could've died if antibiotics didn't exist. I had an infected clot in my arm. It was staph, and it was really fun being woken up at 5 AM for blood cultures for almost a week. My forearms and right have plenty of bruises from it.

Oh, and I'm a blood thinner now.

As they tried to recall the word they were thinking of, the man revealed a pale face that practically glowed as the sunlight hit his skin and strode forward with a great deal more initiative than Kalsi had seen anyone else take all morning.

I love this part because it's absolutely true and Astis probably actually does glow in sunlight.

Speaking of female mercenaries, does anyone else think the art for female mercenaries is remarkably well done?

@applemint: those cosplays are amazing, I really wish I could sit down and try my hand at a few Fire Emblem ones but considering I still live under my parents' roof, it's hard enough to even get to one of the two local conventions. I end up having to run all my cosplay ideas by them and I'm not allowed to do anything too out of the ordinary. It was a real struggle this year to persuade them to let me buy fabric with my own money, let alone craft armour. But maybe one day I will, although I doubt they'll be anywhere near as good as yours. Simply amazing!

@general: I am loving everyone's posts so far, really wish I could sit down and type a post up but I'm really busy lately. Still on vacation, but I spend like no time at the hotel so I can't do much for posts. Especially since I'm near constantly on low battery. But I'll do what I can!

@merc art: honestly I think all of the art is really well done. It has been a while since I looked at it all but from memory most of the concept arts were about the same level.
