Yay I hope someone doesn't mind me tagging along with their battle? Ariel can try healing Lachesis when she's knocked out, but I'm still trying to think of ways she won't be completely useless when the action starts - I do really enjoy the idea of her sneaking along, maybe she caught a phrase/word there, saw someone hastily covering up a dark rune (if one of the keep magi is attacked first?)

Throwing an idea out there - could a dark magi originally be undercover as a student/mage at the Keep? Like a double agent? And then when the group leaves, Ariel does a bit of digging on her own and finds out his/her true nature? Then rushes to catch up with them and warn them? Any other ideas on what she discovers that would cause her to chase after them would be awesome too haha

Ooh, I really like the undercover mage idea! And sure, Ariel could try healing Lachesis. Maybe Ariel could discover that she's really, really good at removing hexes (and maybe has a natural resistance to them herself)?

Also, depending on how we play the backstory, Lucifer could end up at the Keep getting help, or maybe we can go the magical girl route of defeat = (repaired) friendship

If Applemint isn't a fan of infiltration, then let's not play it. We can always figure something else out! Perhaps Ariel could find a lost book in the library about chimera weaknesses or something instead. To add suspense, there could be some things in it that she hasn't learned how to translate yet, or maybe there are pages torn out or there's a spell on the book that means there's critical information missing that the Keep magi all have to work together to figure out once she's brought it to them.
