Does anyone know if the black star is consumed when it is used to add an enchantment to an item?

It works exactly like a soul gem, only it is not destroyed. Each time you use it to refill a weapon charge or create a new enchantment, it must be refilled.

I love taking draugr out with one arrow. It's amazingly fun.

What I'm having fun doing is having a dremora lord and Cicero take out the deathlords, then using dread zombie on those and having draugr fight draugr.

I decided to play again and installed the newest patch and of course I have the same problem with the game freezing when entering water so I guess I have to delete the game data and Skyrim updates, re-install it all and hope that will make it stop doing that.

I can't wait for my recreated main to have his old armor back, it had such nice enchantments.

Somewhat. What you should just do is make another profile on your PS3 and log into that profile for the new character, just to be safe of many things. Not only does that keep the game from fucking up your other character, it eliminates any chance of you over writing another save file.

I don't think I posted about my last little adventure in Skyrim a few weeks ago. It was one of the most unusual things I've run across.

I was going through an old fort (or something of the like) filled with bandits, and it had a lot of good stuff in it. Naturally, I took most of it, ended up being overencumbered, and had to pick what to throw on the floor. Tossed out a sizable stack of potions (a little over 30) that I'd made only to level alchemy and was only keeping to sell. My health was a bit damaged so I decided to sit there for a while and rest.

I was very surprised when a bandit girl from three rooms over suddenly showed up next to me and gave most of the potions back, saying something along the lines of "you dropped this," and wandering back to her post. Without caring that this stranger she had just returned a bunch of potions to had wiped out most of her friends and was preparing to slaughter the rest of them.

I was very sad when I killed her later, I'd planned to keep her alive for being nice. I only knew it was her because she only returned most of the potions, not all of them.

ROFL, nice. At Red Eagle Redoubt, there's a couple of Forsworn there that are glitched in my game and don't attack, so they do stuff like that as well. Although, it does let me look at the Briarheart... never noticed that hole in his chest before. Kinda creepy.

Is a little true but can be avoided.

At the first point where the game auto save (right before creating your character) it doesn't auto save but make a new save file. If you leave the file alone and reload it every time you want to start a new game nothing bad will happen. This auto save will always overwrite save file 0001 that first file you ever made in Skyrim.

To avoid losing your character just create a new save file with your existing character and start a new game. The game will then over write your first save file (again right before you can create you character), once you've created a new character leave that first file alone since you'll need that file for any future new characters you want to make. Save your new character on an empty save slot and your good to go. And every time you want to make a new character just reload the first file that takes you back to right before creating your character.

I did this to avoid losing anymore characters, I sadly already lost my main before I noticed this.

Or do as Shenzi said, I didn't do that because I would get confused if I needed to make a new profile every time I wanted to make a new character.

Speaking of glitches, there was a glitch at the Whiterun Stables, or whatever its called, on my game. One guy was stuck waist deep in the ground, staring up at me and speaking if I spke to him. I went through once and the very same guy stood next to him, very much above the ground. It was quite a sight

Oh! And I said I would tell you when my person became a vampire what it was like. (Been playign Dragon Age Origins and on another profile). Vampires take like 25% more damage from fire and their health, stamina, and magikca, im pretty sure, do not regenerate during the day. But your sneak is 25% better as vampire, you are 100% resistant to poison and disease and some percent resistant to something else. (lol, forgot what it was) You also gain 3 (so far as i know) more spells. Vampire Seduction- up to certain level people and creatures wont fight. Something in the destruction catagory that saps 5 points of health from oponent and something else that helps with invisibility at night, to an extent.
