Possibly, and the only reason I say leech is because we had a chart of all the different species found in the area, including larvae, and the only thing it matched up with was the leech, minus the color.... *shrugs*
Ooh, that sounds fun. <.

It seemed alright after it dropped back into the water.

On the same trip as when I encountered the leech, I caught a lot of dragonflies and damselflies. I'm still wondering how I managed that.

Dragonflies aren't that hard to catch. Sometimes if you stand really still they'll come really close and then you can catch them. :P One of them bit my sister once. It was funny.

Also dragonflies are really gorgeous creatures. They come in all sorts of bright colors. And their wings are so pretty too. Sometimes when the light hits them just right you can see rainbows in them. I sound like a lovestruck teenager

I watched a video with vampyroteuthis. It was such a fanboy moment. :bounce:
Leeches are awesome. Once, a leech was on my dad's psycho ex-girlfriend, but they were still together, but anywhore I got it off and smashed it on a rock. I picked it up and the rock was stained red.

Owo well at least one leech is ok...

I've never heard of smashing leeches...then again the only things I willingly kill are mosquitoes
...

I aS just looking at some pictures of dragonflies, they really are pretty, I've never tried catching them though, I generally stick to lightning bugs x3

I dunno where you come from, but the dragonflies 'round where I live are pretty dang hard to catch. And yeah, they're beautiful. But deadly. Provided you're a small bug.

Ewww. How much blood was there? Must've been a fat leech.

Have you ever seen a lightning bug larva before? They're mega cool!

Smashing leeches should be a sport. It was very fat, probably latched onto her leg for about... Half an hour? I don't know. :P

Ooh, cool!
Turns out I'm doing a project on my favorite invertebrate. I'm so excited! <3

D: That would be a lot of blood.

Nice! I'm going to have to do a paper on lateral gene transfer in a particular species of sea slug. They steal chloroplasts from algae and stick them in their own cells.

Welcome to the club, FrozenFire!
