So, um... the Embed link for individual creatures. It has never yielded an "https" link. Will this ever be fixed? Not game breaking or anything, just curious.

Re: Report site errors here
I try to bookmark some threads in the forums, and when I click the button it takes me to a page that says 'bookmarked'. But if I wait a few seconds, it switches to 'successfully un-bookmarked'.
I don't even know where I could go to see my bookmarks even if they were successful.
Please help.

Re: Report site errors here
An old problem has cropped up for me, sadly. It's one where we couldn't determine if it was due to an internet service provider or Magistream settings conflicting with something, but it had resolved itself for me some time between the Winter Solstice and Magiversary events. Now, it's back.
Whenever I try to name something, I receive a pop-up about how the connection isn't secure, and then when I click OK to proceed, it doesn't name the creature but says No Creature Specified.
This issue also made it so I couldn't gift in the past using my internet/wi-fi connection.
It's definitely not just browser related. Same issue for Firefox on my desktop (and our other desktop that my kids use), as well as Safari on my iPad.
I don't have this issue when using my data on my phone with wi-fi turned off.
I did not have this issue yesterday, so I'm hoping maybe something in Magistream settings got fiddled with, as I have changed nothing. I was naming things just fine last night, turned off the comp before bed, and turned it on this morning (no Windows updates even from what I can see).
This is so frustrating, especially with the contest going on.

Taking a guess based on my own experiences - I think maybe it's your IP..? I can see that you have the kind of IP that changes often, it's a wi-fi thing, they do that. Mine changes every day. So maybe your IP changed overnight and you're now so unlucky that you're sharing an IP that has been deemed unsecure by Cloudflare.Jadeunicorn wrote:An old problem has cropped up for me, sadly. Back when MS was using Spamhaus, I quite often landed on an IP that Spamhaus had banned so I was unable to post on MS. Didn't try naming or gifting, so I don't know if it affected that for me. It usually resolved itself when my IP changed again the next day. Then Madd changed from Spamhaus to Cloudflare and I haven't had the problem since.
The fact that you don't have the problem on your phone with wi-fi turned off sounds like maybe this IP thing could be the problem.

A couple other people have mentioned this issue outside of here, but I had an issue with the Lady Alua's Sanctum III where the quest requirements (two SB monarch butterfly fish) were taken from me but I was not given the gender change potion. Nothing in my inventory at all

Re: Report site errors here
I tired to power cycle everything, and the ip address didn't change, sadly (and this is a huge headache on top of my actual real headache, since we have so many devices in this house that need turning off/unplugging - lol). The likelihood I'll be able to connect with Spectrum, let alone have them actually change it is slim. I wish I would have been tracking the ip address to be sure that's the actual culprit.NyxNoire wrote:Taking a guess based on my own experiences - I think maybe it's your IP..? It had all been working just fine for a couple months. Crap.
EDIT: It's NOT an ip issue. My ip didn't change with the power cycling, but for the hell of it I just tried to name something and it didn't give me the warning pop-up and named it just fine. WTF?
So, it's not an ip issue, but I still don't know why it was doing it... I just hope it stays "fixed" now.

Re: Report site errors here
I took a look at the issue, and the gender change potion quest had a small bug in it, that would affect a tiny percentage of those who tried to complete it, and unfortunately you were one of those people. If you take a look at your inventory you should now find a small compensation for that.Mikos wrote:A couple other people have mentioned this issue outside of here, but I had an issue with the Lady Alua's Sanctum III where the quest requirements (two SB monarch butterfly fish) were taken from me but I was not given the gender change potion. Glad you got it sorted out! These kinds of issues are hard to debug on Magistream end, since they usually happen very randomly and I haven't ever been able to reproduce the issue on my own computer, so it's impossible for me to say whether it is an issue with Magistream (and thus something I can do about), or something about your internet connection, browser add-ons, antivirus programs, or something else compeletely, and.Jadeunicorn wrote:I tired to power cycle everything, and the ip address didn't change, sadly (and this is a huge headache on top of my actual real headache, since we have so many devices in this house that need turning off/unplugging - lol). Re: Report site errors here
So, this is hardly a game-breaking issue or anything, but due to the sheer amount of breeding I've been doing for the past few days, I've noticed that the name of the creature in the small tooltip that shows you what page you're on generally has the wrong creature name. I think it's an off-by-one error because it usually shows the name of the creature I've designated as mate, which tends to be down one on the page from the creature I selected for breeding.
I'll be back with screenshots if I remember next time I breed my fish!
EDIT: took me a while to actually remember to update this, but looks like the bar actually always says the name of the creature who is last in the list of eligible critters that show up.

Kestrad has been eaten by life. She'll probably pop back in occasionally.
