Long ago, a man and a woman who had the ability to shapeshift had a run-in with a pack of Kitsunes. They appeared in the forms of Kitsunes when they were encountered, but soon, the pack realized that they were not truly Kitsunes. Rather than curse them to remain in another form, they were cursed to remain in their Kitsune forms and banished from the pack, given the name Uragirimono--betrayers.
