The Freys make their homage in two magnificent twin castles, connected by a bridge which spans across a river. They are one of the youngest families in Westeros, yet has increased drastically in power and size over the years thanks to Walder Frey and his many offspring. Although they have sworn their loyalty to the Tullies, they are a scheming bunch who pick and choose their battles based on how well it might benefit them. During Robert's Rebellion, the war between Robert Baratheon and the Mad King Targaryen, it took the Freys a substantial amount of time to join the Tullies and Robert. A time which didn't happen until it served their purpose.
