The Puddlejumpers, the cool branch of the space-faring Koi, come from two distinct regions, the Stargate Command in Cheyenne Mountain and the (formerly) lost city of Atlantis. This distinction seems to serve no apparent purpose, though the progenitors of the family felt strongly enough about the issue that they changed their names to reflect their origins. Puddejumpers and Koi do seem to share many attributes, including an affinity for watery substances, small stature and complete uselessness when stuck half in half out of said water.
