Long ago, in a region full of fire, there lived a tribe of phoenixes. They were proud birds, living undisturbed. Then one day, one of them found a gryphon as black as coal lying injured. She cared for him until he was well again, and having fallen in love with him, begged the tribe to let him stay. They refused and cast him out. She followed him away from the land of her birth and together they started the Van Enfeu family, named for the region she had come from.

2. Do not freeze. If you accidentally freeze, please send the egg/hatchling back to me, or to Master Belmos.
3. Please don't make hippogryphs.
4. If you could give your Van Enfeu a nice name and breed him or her, it would be lovely. Breeding is not required, though. (Neither is naming, but if you do so please make it a good one, as in proper capitalization and all that.)
