Hyrule is governed by the Golden Goddesses Din, Farore, and Nayru. When they left the land, they left behind the Triforce, which will grant the wish of whoever holds it. Ganondorf set out the claim it. He destroyed the land in his efforts, leaving pain and sorrow wherever he went. Then, Link rose out of Kokiri Forest and set forth to save the land. With the help of Princess Zelda, he crossed through time and defeated Ganondorf.
Now that Hyrule is safe, peace has spread through the land and light shines once more. The Triforce is back in the Spiritual Realm where it belongs and everything is restored to normal. Now, Hyrule is wishing to spread it's reign to the ends of the earth.
