The GoldPaw family are said to be the bringers of hope and luck. Many Magi swear to the fact that a tuft of hair from a member of the GoldPaw family will protect the bearer from serious injury and draw that which they seek towards them. Because they are so highly prized, it is expected that all decendants of Hanna and Herai should be bred solely with those direwolves of pure direwolf lineage or such direwolves who have no recorded parents.
