Ruby Capri were the most adored by Goddess Xanthe for they were the purest of all Capri.
They would deck her halls with beautiful fish, rare sea plants and the rarest pearls and shells.
Their brightly colored bodies made them easy targets for all hunters of the Ocean. With pain in her heart Xanthe observed how they died or were maimed for life. Their numbers dwindling by each day.
Unable to bear the pain, she blessed them with a power no creature of the Ocean possess, InfraRed abilities to see everything, even in pitch darkness. When chanting, powerful rays emerge from the gem, paralyzing pray and anything that get in their way.
The embedded ruby gem on the forehead of the InfraRed became a powerful weapon for these gentle creatures. They no longer spend their days and nights in fear. No matter how powerful this weapon is, it is never misused except to survive and protect the ones they love.
They remain to this day, loyal and faithful followers of the Goddess Xanthe.
