The umop apisdn are a bunch of very strange creatures indeed. It all started with a little phoenix hatchling who wanted to be differnt and stand on her head for her whole life. Her owner allowed her and she adopted the name "umop apisdn". When her best friend wanted to be like umop apisdn, he joined her and the two have stood on their heads ever since.
When they grew up, the male knew himself as "Phoenix", but since he wanted to be like umop apisdn, he was named xiuaoyd. The two became very close and where soon parents. Magi would marvel at the upside down creatures, calling them "The umop apisdn Family." umop apisdn and xiuaoyd then agreed that they should be a family, and took on the name that the people had given them.
As time passed the family became very popular, even though they where dubbed "weird". it was a way of living, and the only way they knew how to live.
Even this day, you will sometimes see a phoenix nesting in the keep...
