so: hubby and i both had milestone birthdays this year - my birthday was august, his was yesterday! there were a few stray comments that our daughters might have been plotting something, and my mother-inlaw had posted some head-scratching comments on facebook over the past month or so, so the bread crumbs were there!

first, our daughters made birthday brunch reservations for us in Doylestown - the restaurant - The Hattery - was really cute and old-timey. the lights over the bar were hats! and we were correct - the brunch was to get us out of the house. i texted younger daughter when we were on the way home.... and she said if we had any leftover money (she gave us cash which was from both of them), we could stop for ice cream! so.... after our wonderful brunch, we stopped at Goodnoe's (local dairy, homemade ice cream! yum!) for ice cream.....

and came home to a (socially-distanced, outside, wear a mask when you're not eating) surprise party! my mom was there, as was my sister-inlaw and younger nephew. the actual surprise was my brother (the middle of us "kids," i'm the oldest), his wife, and son (older nephew). another not-surprise was my older daughter was running late, but the reason was a surprise - one day last week her and my brother-inlaw (electrical contractor) did a job at someone's house - wearing masks, distancing from people not in their bubble - but the son got covid (as older daughter puts it "probably from doing something stupid.") and son gave it to his parents. and since they were in the house, they (my daughter and my brother-inlaw) decided to get a test - and older daughter checked the website where the results were this afternoon, and it was negative, so yaay!

it was quite a nice day!

YO. For those who know about him; the Hacksmith built a working Power Loader Suit from Aliens. He's reuploading the videos to FB and and the Monster Movie people are freaking out, it's hilarious.

For those who dont know about him, he's got double majors in Engineering and Metallurgy and builds the ultimate Nerd Stuff like a semi-functional Iron Man Suit and a legit-not-even-joking working Lightsaber out of Plasma. In his free time he makes and donates prosthetic arms for amputees - with working fingers.

omg, right? My internet's so bad some days and I'm in a community of folks who don't really even use computers, so what gives? Who's the strain on the internet?

Started playing my Pokemon Sword again, I bowed and finally got the nintendo online so I could Wonder Trade. In turn my Pokedex is almost there Finally. I just need Drampa and Grookey, and to evolve my Pupitar and Sligoo. For the Isle of Armor the only one I'm missing is the little starter seal. With the Wonder Trade I've been getting a Bunch of shinies, they are obviously hacked hence the .com names, but hell a shiny is a shiny.
Also if I'm not mistaken the Crown Tundra comes out tomorrow so I can't wait to see what we'll get with that dex.
