Y'all also sorry for being awol for so long but I got a job!!!!! I busted my butt at a coding boot camp for three months, then spent three more months teaching at it, and just recently got an offer from a large software company! I'm super excite and also terrified halp

Just submitted my deposit for UCLA! It was a hard decision but eventually the food and proximity to home won me over.

It's all one major, haha, I'm not stupid enough (or smart enough?) to triple major. I'm honestly not sure if I'm going pre-med or research yet! Will keep you updated in two years

I just moved in 4 days ago, and class starts this Thursday! I'm having a great time stuffing my face in the dining halls (number one in the nation aint for nothing....monch) but haven't really done much of anything else. i did do my laundry for the first time today, please be proud

Umbry is currently suffering through their physics GRE, send ur thoughts and prayers....other than that, recently we've been doing some writing together! I've poked em on discord to come pop their head in and say hello

Aaah! Congratulations on finishing round 1!! (The physics GRE is two parts?! The bio one was only one part and it still completely wrecked me. I can't even fathom the endurance it takes to finish one part and realize you've got another one to go!) Also omg good luck with your thesis! And grad school applications! And GRE round 2! I'm so excited for you!

Hey, doing laundry for the first time is definitely an achievement! I still think it's a miracle I didn't ruin all my clothes the first time I did mine.

New job is good! I'm being paid way too much to eat free food and stare at my computer in confusion all day. Like seriously, my job takes so much less effort (in a way) than when I was working in a lab. More thinking, I guess, but less continuous concentration and work. I guess given we're on the topic of college I'd heavily suggest that if you have a free slot and you haven't done so yet, take a coding class! You might end up deciding it's extremely not for you, but just having done any coding at all opens a surprising number of doors right now.
