Personally, I think I'd prefer boiling: your nerves stop functioning after the first layer of skin is burned away by fire, so with boiling water your nerves would quickly burn out and you'd just feel heat.

Does it count to say boiling, because you could duck down, deliberately breathe in the water, and drown very very very quickly, instead of the time it would otherwise take to boil or freeze?
If it does not count, please disregard my vote, as in such a case I have not yet decided.

I've actually had hypothermia - or at least I was told I had, I didn't really know much about it. I just wanted to lie down and be left alone, but people kept making me move, which was miserable. So, from a position of some knowledge, I would rather freeze, because it didn't hurt and would be peaceful. Boiling just sounds extremely painful, even if it is quick.

Without reading the other responses ...

I chose freezing for the simple reason that I have always understood that in the process of freezing to death you go to sleep. It seems like a slightly more peaceful and less agonizing way to go than being boiled or broiled.
